Terms and Conditions for Ghostwriting Services

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") outline the working relationship between Stella Piantedosi ("Ghostwriter") and the client ("Client"). This Agreement is designed to create a thoughtful, collaborative, and elevated experience while protecting both parties throughout the creative process.

By engaging services, the Client agrees to the terms below.

2. Scope of Services

The Ghostwriter provides bespoke, intense involvement writing services tailored to each Client. Projects may include, but are not limited to, full-length books, essays, and scripts.

Each project is guided by a custom proposal outlining scope, deliverables, timelines, and revision structure. No work begins without mutual written agreement.

3. Payment Terms

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to reserve the Ghostwriter’s time and begin work. The remaining balance is paid according to a mutually agreed-upon schedule.

Due to the limited number of clients accepted at any given time, missed or delayed payments may result in paused work or adjusted timelines.

4. Revisions

Each project includes two (2) rounds of revisions.

Revisions are intended for refinement, clarity, and alignment with the Client’s voice and vision, not for substantial rewrites or new direction. Additional revisions may be requested as a Creative Consultation at an hourly rate of $100/hr

Revision requests must be submitted within [10–14] days of delivery unless otherwise agreed.

5. Timeline and Turnaround

Ghostwriting is an immersive and collaborative process. Timelines vary based on the length and complexity of the manuscript, as well as the Client’s availability and responsiveness.

Typical project timelines range from 3-18 months, particularly for full-length books requiring interviews, development, and multiple drafts.

The Ghostwriter will provide estimated milestones; however, these may shift based on the creative process and Client participation.

6. Client Responsibilities

To ensure a seamless and elevated experience, the Client agrees to:

* Participate in scheduled interviews and provide thoughtful, timely input.
* Supply necessary materials, background, and direction.
* Respond to drafts and communications within agreed timeframes.

Delays in communication or materials may impact delivery timelines.

7. Confidentiality and Discretion

Discretion is at the heart of ghostwriting.

The Ghostwriter agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all Client materials, ideas, identity (if desired), and personal information. No details of the project will be shared without written consent.

8. Authorship and Rights

Upon full and final payment, all rights, title, and interest in the completed work are transferred to the Client, who will be recognized as the sole author.

The Ghostwriter retains the right to reference the work in a private or public portfolio, including excerpts, descriptions, or case studies, unless a separate confidentiality agreement explicitly prohibits this. Any such use will be respectful, selective, and aligned with the Client’s level of comfort.

9. Originality

All work delivered is original and created specifically for the Client. The Ghostwriter does not knowingly produce content that infringes upon existing copyrights.

The Client assumes responsibility for final use, publication, and any third-party claims arising from the content.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the Agreement in writing.

In the event of termination:

* The initial deposit remains non-refundable
* The Client is responsible for payment for all work completed up to the termination date.

Any completed material will be delivered upon receipt of outstanding payment.

11. No Guarantee of Outcomes

While the Ghostwriter is committed to producing exceptional, publishable work, no guarantees are made regarding publication, sales, representation, or audience reception.

12. Limitation of Liability

The Ghostwriter shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the delivered content.

13. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the United States of America.

14. Amendments

These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued engagement with services constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
